This is heart-wrenching... :(

As a child growing up in america, my single mother tried very hard to raise 6 of us children on minimum wage in the 60's and 70's. She did the best she could, but with no help from "dad", we sometimes had nothing in the house to eat. So, I know how the child of the mother in the video feels.

As a mother, I feel the pain of the woman who cannot feed her children.

This is one reason we decided to become sponsors. We had already been donating to other agencies, like the Humane Society and a few others, and local orginizations to help homeless and poor in our area, but in America, we pay taxes to help with things like foodstamps, medical, housing and so on. We learned that many other countries have nothing of the sort. Although mom raised us without the help of these agencies, we did survive. I believe that without help from sponsors , many of the children in these videos and stories may not survive. We, as Americans are truely blessed.
