  • It might be one she bought with SNG money leftover after the cost of her tutoring for this year. (I assume that's what she'll spend it on.) So the design might be a bit more unique or current than the ones they get from the project. You're right that I don't think of the kameez being done in plaid. And it's quite a large plaid; usually the checks are smaller. This one does look very Scottish--some clan probably adopted it.

  • Thanks. Actually, light-weight, usually pastel or bright cotton plaids like that are called Madras plaids because they originated in India--and often are cheap because they're still imported from there.
