Neither did I. I think it would have changed my whole attitude toward the subject...Instead, I got textbooks that emphasized the top 5 imports and exports of every country in the western hemisphere. Inspiring stuff. Didn't explain why most countries both export and import sugarbeets (why not just keep their own?) or, for that matter, what sugarbeets are. ("But that would be biology!"

Moumita, my 2nd graduate, also aims to be a geography teacher. I've recently figured out that she, Anwesha, and Jharna, my soon-to-be 3rd graduate, probably all live in the same region. I'm wondering if it's a coincidence that both girls became passionate about geography in 11th grade, or if they might have had the same teacher.
