jenkinsg, 2 years ago | FlagThe welcome letter takes 6-8 weeks. If the gift was for less than $100, it won't have been transferre
d to Chile yet; the smaller gifts are bundled and sent quarterly (although the actual amount you donated will be used for your child). I imagine this is to prevent overburden ing the staff with constant small shopping trips. The next transfer is March 15; you'd expect to receive a thank you letter and a report on what was purchased sometime in early June. (But since you sent cards and stickers, they'd probably be treated separately and you'd get a reply/than k you for those earlier, under normal circumstan ces.) If it was for $100 or more, the gift was transferre
d right away and they have 45 days to report back to Kansas City. Then it takes a week or two for you to get the report and thank you letter.
