- I shot a video at Neha's house, then then later forgot to do everyone else's (argh!) since I was too busy chatting (which is also important, of course!)

Driving in India
- I made this video the other night while driving home in an autorickshaw (a three-wheeled scooter-taxi thing). I think it is fun for people to see what it is like to be on the road in India... in this video there is quite a bit of traffic, also honking. People honk in India ALL the time to say "I'm here" or "I'm turning" or "I'm crossing this intersection" rather than out of anger/rudeness/emergency like in the U.S. You can also see families walking, people in motorcycles (sometimes families on motorcycles) and so forth. :)

Clarence's Christmas SNG 4
- Clarence got his christmas SNG! He and his family chose 7 pieces of clothing, 2 pairs of shoes, a dish drainer, stools, 49 kitchen utensils to replace the damaged ones they previously had, 1 big bag of rice, 11 various grocery items, and a food and transportation allowance! I'm so happy that they enjoyed the SNG, and that it made it a little easier on them :)

Saraswati
- Saraswati is new to CI, after having completed her Family Record and Photo session in June 2011. She is seven years old, in grade 3, and speaks Bengali and Santali. She likes to play with her friends, play hide and seek, and dance. Saraswati lives with her parents with her father being a daily worker, and the monthly income $53. She has a two-year-old sister, Sumita. Their one-multi-use-room home has brick walls, a tile roof, and a concrete floor. They use a community water pump and latrine, and have "non-regulated" electricity usage. I hope Saraswati will experience a secure, happy childhood and a receive a complete quality education.

Joice
- This is Joice, my newest child from Tabaco, The Philippines. I sponsored her because her birthday is the anniversary of my first kidney transplant. Her father has died, and her mother works in another city, so Joice lives with her older brother Ryan. Their combined income is only $46 per month.

Rovelyn
- Rovelyn is my fifth sponsored child with Children International and my thirteenth sponsored child ever. I sponsored her on 11/16/06. I sponsored her to break the "dominican-children-only" rule; she is from the Philippines. I had already broken the girls-only rule, so I decided to break this rule too. Yet I didn't enter CI's website with the express intention of sponsoring another child. I just saw her picture on CI's home page and her tender eyes bought me. You can see the picture that did this within this album. The first picture in this album is the one that did this. Rovelyn is my first filipina ever. Previously, I had sponsored children from Haiti, Nicaragua, and The Dominican Republic; althought by the time I sponsored Rovelyn, I only was sponsoring children from the Dominican Republic. Rovelyn is eleven years old. She lives with his father, mother, one brother and one sister. From all of my sponsored children, the most satisfying experience I have had came from a special donation I made to Rovelyn for a bed. When I got her pictures, picturing her sitting on her brand new bed with the broadest smile I have ever seen on any of my sponsored children until then, I just can say that it was worth way beyond each penny spent. It is the happiest memory I have of my sponsorship experiences. I might have a much better experience when I go visit one of them and he/she receives me with great excitement. If that ever happens, it will surpass this experience. But up to now, this is my best sponsorship memory, thanks to a little girl that lives far away called Rovelyn.

Clarizze
- Until 4/28/2009 morning, Alyson remained my most recent sponsored child. Things change overtime and this has already changed. Clarizze is now my tenth sponsored child with Children International, my eighteenth sponsored child ever, and one of my most recent sponsorships. Clarizze was yet another impulsive sponsorship. I entered CI's website and browsed through the girls list. I saved her page along with two more and I couldn't resist to sponsor all three of them. I sponsored Clarizze first, so she is now my tenth sponsored child. Her photo album contained three pictures, so I can easily guess that she had a sponsor who dropped the sponsorship for whatever reason. Clarizze is nine years old. She lives on the Philippines with her father, mother, three brothers and one sister, speaks Filipino, likes to play with dolls and to play with friends. She writes her letters by helself. All of my previous Filipinas always wrote their own letters. It has been my impression that children in the Phillipines learn to write fast. In her first letter, she told me that she liked to play "chinese garter". I didn't know whether that's the right spelling or just misreading the whole thing. I had never heard about such a thing. Her favorite color is pink (soooo sweet), and she loves to watch Dora the Explorer cartoon. She told me that she learns things from this cartoon. Something curious. In her first letter, she told me that her favorite school subject was English. But her favorite school subject according to CI was Mathematics. I thought maybe CI information was wrong... or maybe she changed her mind. This last picture shows a smiling Clarizze. Overly adorable. Clarizze is just adorable. I love her innocent eyes, her overall baby face. I look forward to build a fulfilling relationship with her.

Regine
- Regine is my seventh sponsored child with Children International, my fifteenth sponsored child ever, and the third girl from the Philippines. I sponsored Regine on 8/30/07. The process I followed to choose her was very deliberate. I went to CI's website and browsed through the search results for girls in more or less an age range of 5 to 10 years old. I collected a number of pictures renaming them with the name of the child, formed a collage with all of them and then I showed it to various people. It was funny to notice that a few of them were reluctant to see the pictures because they wrongly thought that I was asking them to sponsor a child. Once I had all the feedback, I chose Regine. Regine is eleven years old. She lives with her father, mother, one brother, and one sister. I'm still waiting for her big smile. She writes her own letters. All of my filipinas, and Regine is no exception, have a clear and pretty handwriting. Regine's handwriting is almost a work of art.
