Description:

Sarbari's parents are daily workers able to earn about $64 per month when their income is counted together. However, sponsorship services are not offered in their home area, so Sarbari and other family members live with her grandmother in Kolkata, where they can be sponsored, while her father stays elsewhere. A van-rickshaw was purchased which they will be able to rent out, earning an additional $26 per month--more than what the lesser-earning parent brings in currently.
