I was just informed that my sponsored Child Zarina has left the program but they have assigned another young lady, named Saba....I have already sent her a "getting to know you " message and I hope she is able to reply...

I will miss recieving messages from Zarina, and I hope that she is in good health and is being taken care of by her family. I know we wont be able to communicate any longer, so I am sending good prayers her way. It would have been 4 years this October that I had been sponsoring her.

Not having a child of my own and wanting to better the life of someone, and to leave my lasting mark, by helping a child leave their lasting mark, I decided to begin the adventure of sponsoring a child.

Because my hobby and artistic lifestyle of bellydance lends myself to communicating with the East Indian Community and having had many friends who have or had relatives in India, I knew that a child in one of the small villages may need my help. This does not deture me from wanting to help children everywhere, but I always felt even that "one drop of water in a bucket" adds up to something special.

I am quite the average gal. I work and I am married, and have family, friends and acquaintances I enjoy in my life. I enjoy dancing and the outdoors. I am blessed and if I can help others that is what I do, because giving what ever I can to others brings me great joy..

Accountability. Knowledge of how the money I donate is spent, and the updates on my child. I know where and how much money is going to Zarina and her community.
